L MVSSIDIVS LONGVS The shrine of Venus Cloacina, the platform inscribed CLOACIN. Babelon (Mussidia) 6. Crawford 494/42c. RBW 1746. Sydenham 1093b. A beautifully toned and very well struck example. The obverse slightly off center and with two minor nicks, otherwise, extremely fine.

The reverse of this coin shows the shrine that was constructed on the Forum Romanum as a tribute to Venus Cloacina, the 'Venus of the sewage system'
